Michela Tartaglia is a chef and owner of Pasta Casalinga in Seattle's Pike Place Market. She hired us to design all her own visual identity before the launch of her very first cookbook Pasta for All Seasons, published by Penguin Random House and Sasquatch Books. Our work narrates her unique approach to cooking, a mix of Italian culinary heritage and Pacific Northwest fresh products.
We developed a minimal but iconic visual language with a vintage accent. The color palette is inspired by 40's Italian poster art, so the fonts choice.
